Chip Conley

Chip ConleyAt 26, Conley transformed a 1950s “no-tell motel” into the Phoenix Hotel—a legendary rock’n’roll destination catering to the likes of David Bowie, Linda Ronstadt and Little Richard. Arguably the coolest hotel exec in the world, Conley is founder and CEO of Joie de Vivre—“the most delightfully schizophrenic collection of hotels in America” according to USA Today—and an inspiration to those seeking ideas for transformative enterprise.

Binah podcasts are the best thing to happen to my gym workout in years. When I saw that a hotel “magnate” was speaking I thought I would probably skip it. I was doubly astonished to find that I not only listened to the end and loved it, but found it necessary to send to at least four friends, to whom it would be important. This lecture was typical of the unexpected criticality of Binah’s choices. If I were still in San Francisco, I would attend in person. But since I moved to North Country CA, I have to get it this way. I wouldn’t miss it. Thank you.
